This year is no different. Don’t stay put in front of the main stage, come and check out bands that may well end up headlining in years to come.

The band at Bloodstock most likely to : Do something embarrassing, not remember it and find it out by watching photos and videos after the fest.

Give me the ‘Hollywood Film’ version of how the band formed and how you came to be named..

Well it all started not that long time ago in a galaxy not that far. Five metalheads came together with one purpose – to make the world bang the shit out of their heads. That band was Once Upon. And there will not  be „a time”, because it’s all about making your own beginnings and ends.

What style of metal do you play?

Alternative/modern metal.

What bands would you say your music is ‘for fans of’ ?

Not any band in particular, but we’ve been compared to Tool, Mudvayne, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die and even Melechesh.

How did you get your slot at the Festival?

We won the Metal 2 The Masses Latvia contest.

What’s the first thing you did after you found out you had a slot?

First couple of seconds we tried to remember what is our bands name, when we heard that Once Upon is going to Bloodstock. Then we screamed our f***ing lungs out.

Which of your tracks do you think will create the biggest wave of head banging?

Definitely ‘Left Alone’ and ‘Better Start Prayin’’ .

Is this the largest event you have played, and what are the nerves like?

Yes. And the nerves are pretty good… for now.

Which band member(s) are likely to have the most incriminating photos after the festival?

Edgars P. And “likely” isn’t the word to describe it.

Which bands are you most looking forward to seeing?

Down, Amon Amarth, Hellyeah, Megadeth, Hatebreed, Profane Omen, Bloodshot Dawn, Obituary, Alone with Wolves, Children of Bodom, Carcass, Lacuna Coil.

What have been the best moments  for you at previous Bloodstock Festivals?

This is our first Bloodstock festival, so… none.

What is your current release? Explain a little about it….

Our current release is ”Left Alone’. The new record is basically linked to an inevitable, universal doom which has been brought forth by the created and unrestrained, drawing parallels with today’s society.

Give one good reason/threat/sob story as to why fans should come watch you…

Well, for starters, you can come and see, that Latvians can make some pretty good headbanging music.

Show your excitement in one Tweet (140 characters only!)

We’re so excited, and we just can’t hide it!!! xoxoxo [smiley face] BUT SERIOUSLY!
